Steven Martinez was sentenced to 157 years in prison for a brutal rape he committed in 1998. In prison, he was stabbed, and became a quadriplegic from the attack. He has been called both repulsive and angry, and has still been threatening nurses and caregivers while in prison. The State wants to release him only because of the cost of his care. Bad situation here, and I do not believe he should be released for any reason until he dies.
