This both saddens and angers me. This child is so adorable I just can’t imagine anyone wanting to hurt him. I am sure he was a bundle of energy and joy for his family. He was apparently killed because of a facial expression that meant he disrespected Clifton Bernard? Really? That is just so outrageous that I cannot find the words to express how I feel. Jamir was a CHILD, a toddler. He could not understand the concept of respect. I believe that he just needed an excuse for his behavior towards the child. He did admit that he hurt Jamir. But there is no excuse, nothing that can express what he did to this child to make it reasonable or rational. No excuse. Of course, this case deserves the death penalty, but, Maryland just did away with the death penalty. But he will have to live with this for the rest of his life. And I hope it is long and miserable.
