O’Connell’s Family Exhumes Her Body and the Exclusive New Autopsy Results are Revealed
LOS ANGELES, Calif. (May 23, 2016) — Crime Watch Daily brings explosive new results in the death of Michelle O’Connell. Originally ruled a suicide, a new independent autopsy performed by Dr. William Anderson after O’Connell’s body was exhumed at the request of her family, indicates that her death was a homicide. “I believe that the injury patterns that we see are inconsistent with the individual intraoral gunshot wound. We have external trauma and we have significant trauma unrelated to the wound itself. That means that someone else was involved in the scenario,” Dr. Anderson tells Crime Watch Daily.
O’Connell’s family believes she was murdered by her live-in boyfriend, Jeremy Banks, who is a Deputy at the St. John’s County Sheriff’s department where O’Connell’s death was investigated. They claim he used his police expertise to cover up the crime. “I think he would know how to cover up [the crime],” tells O’Connell’s mother, Patty O’Connell to Crime Watch Daily. “We’ve been telling them all along we knew she didn’t kill herself and that should bring justice to Michelle’s death. The evidence is there for them to do something with it now,” she adds. “I hope we will get justice,” O’Connell’s 9-year-old daughter, Alexis O’Connell, tells Crime Watch Daily.
Multiple investigations were conducted and Banks was never charged based on insufficient evidence. Banks’ lawyer has declined to comment on this story and the case remains officially ruled as a suicide.
